VETUS has added a new 4-cylinder D-Line common-rail engine for heavy displacement boats. The slow running engine is very suited for craft that undertake long distance cruising.
Based on the quality of the Deutz engine blocks, the engine is reliable, durable and meets Europe’s new RCD2 emission regulations. The engine is extremely suitable for on-board power hydraulics and features a CAN bus system with a SAEJ1939 protocol. It can also work with NMEA2000 systems.
The new VETUS D-Line engine has a water-cooled top cover to reduce engine room heat and noise. It can also be used as a step. Also new: smaller air filters to save engine room space, new exhaust manifold insulation, high-output alternators as standard (160 Amps) and a 2nd, optional alternator.
Electric sump pumps are fitted as standard. Options such as a calorifier /hot water tank kit, a fly-bridge instrument panel or trolling valve can be ordered separately but will be installed on the engine when ordered as a complete package. Furthermore, for the 6-cylinder engine there is a possibility for a separate fuel filter kit.
